2011, We have started a newer trail system at Duncan lake, red ,white and blue trails.
Red trail will take you from the camp ground, to the picnic table on south side of lake, same trail back 6 miles over and back . We will have milage posted at a later date.Kathe Wells has wanted this since she joined the club.
Blue trail loop which starts on the south side, will take you down to water, farther on to the eagle look out on the south side of the lake over looking Duncan Lake dam and the pavillion on the North.Very simple riding.three miles out and back.
The white trail will be on the North side of the lake only, we have new picnic table on the north side of the lake. white trail is 3 mile loop.
Red White and Blue trails will not include all of the trails just the basic trails , to take new comers around the lake to get their baring. I am going to put up corrodinates also on this page , when I get them, that way with your GPS you can go right to them.
We have been getting so many new riders, some have had trouble finding the south side picnic tables, that is our plan to help those riders. When they get to the picnic tables they can turn around and follow the same trail back or take the blue trail just to the water.then back to camp on North side.
I hope you have as much fun riding at Duncan lake as I have over the years. I still love riding there after more than 40 years. We are very blessed to have such a great place to ride so close.
Camellia
we have seen many signs of wild pigs, I have seen tracks along the fence on the north some riders have really seen the little pigs, about 25 little ones that means there are parents somewhere so be careful while riding.
DLHC has given more than $7000.00 to charities in Duncan and Stephens county we are very proud of that dollar figure.
But mostly we enjoy the Duncan lake , we try to keep it as clean as possible, we have porta pottys on the south side for your convience , picnic tables after about a 2 hour ride around the lake to get to area, so you can visit and rest up before the trip back to camp.
Bald Eagles are visiting between Nov and March we have seen them this year and the Christmas bird count saw 7.....they are easy to spot, that big white head really stands out in the dead trees along the lake
Trails are very well marked around the lake or out in the open, ride out one way and come back a different way. There is always an easy way to get around a steep place if you don't like to go steep.
I hope you have fun at our lake and enjoy it as much as we do.
fishing dock, inclosed fish house, disc golf, boating and fishing is heaven forbid you don't like to ride.
If you have lost anything let me know I will post on this site.
